At each location data are the average of four hybrids and six N rates. Soybean was the previous crop at all locations except Champaign which also included corn as the previous crop. Plant population had no effect on grain yield in Champaign for either corn or soybean as previous crops. In the other three locations, there was a significant effect of plant population on grain yield (p<0.05).
